The Traffic Police Saturday issued a route plan for transporters for January 10 in the city.
Superintendent of Police Maqsood-u-Zaman said that on January 10 Traffic Police have formulated following route plan for all types of vehicles approaching Lal Chowk.
“All commuters are advised to adhere to for the convenience of general public,” he said.
He said that heavy vehicles including passenger vehicles, Sumos, Taveeras etc. coming from South Kashmir are advised to take By-pass route to reach Srinagar and shall use the same route on way back.
No truck movement shall be allowed from Srinagar up to Qazigund before 02:00 PM and no heavy vehicle shall be allowed to park / halt along National Highway on either side particularly from Hyderpora up to Pantha Chowk.
Only small vehicles shall be allowed to enter Srinagar through Badami Bagh Cantonment route.
All types of vehicles approaching Srinagar from North City via Dalgate shall adopt Mumta Hotel Konakhan – Baba Dharm Das – SRTC Crossing – Poloview route to reach Lal Chowk.
All types of vehicles coming from Nishat etc. shall adopt SKICC – Nehru Park – Badyari Chowk – Dalgate – Moulana Azad Road to reach Lal Chowk.
Commuters coming from North / Central City shall also adopt Mumta Hotel Konakhan – Baba Dharm Das – SRTC Crossing – M.A Road – Golf Crossing – Radio Kashmir Crossing – Ram Munshibagh as well.
Besides, general public visiting Sunday market on 10th of January, 2016 are advised to park their vehicles at Sheikh Bagh, Old SMG, Sangamral, Poloview, SBI Parking and approach the market. Wrongly parked vehicles shall be towed under Hon’ble Court directions.
