SRINAGAR: Srinagar-Muzafarabad road has been restored for the vehicular movement after it remained suspended for several hours due to multiple landslides at Boniyra, Lagma and Uri.
According to the news agency KNO, massive rainfall since yesterday triggered landslides following which the traffic along Srinagar-Muzaffarabad road was suspended, officials said.
“Men and machinery was pressed into service to clear the debris from affected roads,” they said, adding that the traffic was later allowed to ply.
