Traffic Restrictions Announced in Baramulla for Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan Rally

   

SRINAGAR: Authorities in Jammu and Kashmir have announced a detailed traffic advisory for Baramulla town ahead of a mega Padh Yatra scheduled to be held on May 12 as part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.

According to the advisory issued by the Traffic Police Office Rural Kashmir, vehicular movement from Railway Crossing Baramulla to Bus Stand Crossing along the Baramulla-Uri road will remain completely suspended from 7 am to 3 pm on the day of the event.

The advisory said the restrictions were being imposed to ensure smooth traffic management during the rally and to facilitate the movement of participants arriving from different parts of Kashmir.

Authorities have designated separate routes and parking arrangements for vehicles ferrying participants from South Kashmir, Central Kashmir, Kupwara, Bandipora, Sopore, Uri, Biniyar and Gulmarg areas.

Participants travelling from South and Central Kashmir have been directed to use the Pattan–Palhalan–Sangrama–Delina route, while those coming from Kupwara, Bandipora and Sopore areas will travel via Sopore and Sangrama towards Delina.

Vehicles arriving from Uri and Biniyar areas have been advised to move through Sheeri and Khanpora Bridge, whereas traffic from the Gulmarg area will use the Chandoosa and Gulmarg link road route.

The Traffic Police further said Srinagar-bound traffic from Uri and Baramulla would be diverted via Khanpora Bridge, Old Town, Ladoora and Sangrama during the restriction period.

Similarly, Uri and Baramulla-bound traffic from Srinagar will be diverted through Sangrama, Juhama, Ladoora, Old Town and Khanpora Bridge.

Motorists have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel on the Baramulla-Uri road during the scheduled hours and cooperate with authorities for smooth regulation of traffic.
