Traffic Resumes on Jammu–Srinagar Highway

   

SRINAGAR: The Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH‑44) has been restored for traffic after a blockage caused by heavy rains and a mudslide earlier in the morning.

An official said that the highway was reopened at 9:40 AM, and stranded vehicles between Nashri and the Navyug Tunnel are now being cleared. Authorities have urged commuters to remain patient, maintain lane discipline, and avoid overtaking to prevent congestion.
