SRINAGAR: After closed briefly due to landslides at Chamalwas area of Ramban, the traffic movement on the Jammu-Srinagar highway has been resumed, officials said.

“Traffic movement has resumed at Rehampadi, Chamalwas, from both sides on the national highway,” news agency KNO quoted traffic official as having said.

Landslides were reported to have occurred in the Rehampadi Chamalwas area on the national highway.

The highway is the lifeline for the Kashmir valley and the main link road connecting Kashmir with the rest of the country.
