For last ten days, traffic chaos is back to busy Pantha Chowk, where men at work have diverted the huge traffic to a single lane.
The tiresome traffic jams have not only distressed the pedestrians, but also the locals. A beeline of vehicles honks relentlessly much to the displeasure of the commuters.
Pertinently, to do away with the traffic mess in the area, the previous government had released funds on fast-track mode to widen the lane. But very little has been done on ground to alleviate the situation.
As a short term measure, authorities are putting up a divider at one lane. The locals have alleged that the rate of work is going on at snail’s pace.
Attempts to reach the concerned officials were unanswered.
