Train service remained suspended for the fourth consecutive day on Tuesday in south Kashmir, while service has been resumed in the north after remaining suspended for three days in the wake of militant and civilian killings.

Seven civilians and three militants were killed in Kharpora Sirnoo village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.

We have resumed train service in north Kashmir after remaining suspended for three days, a senior railway said, and adding train service remained suspended in south Kashmir for the fourth day today.

Trains will run between Srinagar-Budgam in central Kashmir to Baramulla in the north as per schedule today, he said.

However, he said, no train will chug on Srinagar-Islamabad-Qazigund in south Kashmir with Banihal in Jammu, an official said.
