Srinagar

Train service on the Srinagar-Banihal track continued to remain suspended on the second consecutive day on Saturday for security reasons following the killing of three militants in Shopian district.

However, train service was normal in north Kashmir, a senior railway official told Kashmir Life.

He said a fresh advisory was received from the administration, including police not to resume train service in south Kashmir on Saturday also.

He said, therefore, no train will chug on Budgam-Srinagar-Islamabad-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region.
