Train service resumed on Tuesday after remaining suspended for two days due to security reasons in the Kashmir valley, after the resistance leadership had called for a general strike against any move to weaken the Article 35 A.

“We have resumed train service and all trains will operate as per schedule in the Valley following fresh advisory from police last night,” a senior railway official said.

He said that the service was suspended on Sunday and Monday following directions from the administration and police for security reasons.
