Authorities on Monday suspended rail services on the Srinagar-Banihal route for the second day for “security reasons”, while train will chug to northern parts of Valley after remaining suspended for a day.
“We have suspended all trains between Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal region for security reasons,” railway officials told a news agency.
They said, “We have taken the decision to suspend train service in the Kashmir Valley after receiving an advisory from the administration and police for security reasons”.
