Clashes between protesters and government forces erupted in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district where a gunfight between militants and forces is underway.
Reports said that a militant has been killed in the gunfight so far.
They said that scores of protesters including women assembled and pelted stones on forces who responded to immense tear smoke shelling.
Earlier, a joint team of army’s 42 RR, SOG and CRPF laid a siege in the area following specific information about the presence of some militants on Sunday early morning.
The clashes were going on when this report was filed.
