A militant has been killed in an encounter at Dar Ganai Gund village of south Kashmir’s Tral town of Pulwama district.
An official said one unidentified militant was killed in the gunfight at Dar Ganai Gund village of Tral. However, the officer said that the identity of slain militant was not immediately known.
He said that a policeman has also suffered a splinter injury during the gunfight.
Earlier, a joint team of army’s 42 RR, SOG and CRPF laid a siege in the area following specific information about the presence of some militants on Friday early morning.
