A militant has been killed in an ongoing encounter at Dar Ganai Gund village of Aripal area of south Kashmir’s Tral town of Pulwama district.
Reports said that an unidentified militant was killed in the gunfight at Dar Ganai Gund village of Aripal area of Tral.
An official said that the firing has been stopped and search operation is underway at the site of the gunfight.
Earlier, a joint team of army’s 42 RR, SOG and CRPF laid a siege in the area following specific information about the presence of some militants on Sunday early morning.
The identity of the slain militant was not immediately known.
