Srinagar
A Jammu and Kashmir police constable was injured during a gunfight between militants and the government forces in Lam forest area of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.
An official said that a police constable identified as Lateef Ahmed was injured during a gunfight and is said to be stable now.
Earlier, two army men were injured, one of them identified as Ajay Kumar succumbed to injuries at Srinagar hospital
Meanwhile, a search operation is going on in the Lam forests of the area following the encounter between the forces and militants.
