Terming unity and steadfastness as two big achievements of ongoing resistance, JKLF chief Mohammad Yasin Malik on Monday said, “If we as a nation are able to safeguard these two things no power on earth can defeat us.”

While addressing locals at Tral chowk, Malik said that people who have sacrificed their lives are real heroes and “we pledge to take forward their mission to its desired goal.”

After meeting the parents of Hizb commander, Burhan Muzaffar Wani for two hours, Malik addressed people after Zuhar prayers, where he said, “So-called biggest democracy has left no space for peaceful political activities and even expressing condolences has been banned here, this is why I had to reach Tral before the sunrise.”

While appealing people to follow the joint resistance leadership programs in letter and spirit, Malik said, “Unity and steadfastness are keys to success and as a living nation we all have to safeguard our unity at every cost.” And added, “The show of unity from leadership to common people during last 135 days has been our biggest achievement and today India and its Kashmiri stooges are conspiring to break this unity at any cost. Therefore it is our national and religious duty to safeguard this success, defeat all conspiracies and remain steadfast and passionate about the sacred struggle.”

Malik also said, “Our struggle is based on truth and principles and India and the international community should accept this reality and show some courage and magnanimity to resolve this human issue so that the dreams of real and lasting peace, prosperity, progress and stability are fulfilled.”

While hailing the passion of the people of Tral, Malik has said that the sacrifices of the people of Tral was a ‘shining page’ of resistance history.

“After rally, that was held despite all fear and intimidation from SOG, police, army, people in large numbers raising anti India slogans, along with JKLF chairman marched to graveyard where prayers were held. Women in large numbers also gathered outside the graveyard and greeted JKLF chairman with emotional slogans in favour of freedom,” reads the statement.
