Tral township and its adjacent areas in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday continued shutdown for the second consecutive day to mourn the killing of Hizb militant Adil Ahmad Chopan.

Chopan was killed in a gunfight with government forces in Jageer area of the township on Monday.

Shops and business establishments were closed and traffic was off the roads.

Reports said work in government offices, banks and educational institutions was also affected.
