SRINAGAR: A young man from Kalakot Rajouri lost his life when a tree branch fell on him due to strong winds in Kawcherwan village, located in the Kangan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
An official said that amidst the strong winds, a tree branch fell on a young man in the village of Kangan.
The young man, who comes from Rajouri and belongs to the Bakerwal community, received immediate assistance from locals who swiftly took him to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) in Kangan. The medical staff at SDH referred him to the Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) for advanced treatment.
However, despite the efforts made, the young man succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS hospital. The deceased has been identified as Maroof Ahmad from Kalakot Rajouri. (KNO)
