An army man along with his cousin was arrested by Maharashtra police from Kashmir for supplying heroin to another trooper, however, the kingpin according to sources is still at large and police is utilizing all the resources to nab him.

Reliable sources told CNS that Pune police seized 500 grams of heroin from an army man in Pune Maharashtra and during the interrogation he confessed that heroin was supplied to him by a Kashmiri youth who works in Territorial Army in Frontier District Kupwara.

Sources added that a team of Pune police arrived in Valley and contacted the commander of Territorial Army stationed at Hiddi Kupwara. The Army commander accordingly handed over the accused trooper to the police team who has been identified as Naseer Mir son of Abdul Aziz Mir resident of Wavoora Lolab. Sources said that Pune police team also arrested the cousin of the culprit TA soldier and shifted him to Maharashtra for further questioning.

Sources further said that TA soldier Naseer Mir has confessed that it was another person who had supplied the heroin to him. Sources added that Pune police has sought assistance from Kashmir police to nab the kingpin who according to reports is still at large.

Meanwhile, the family members of accused said that Naseer Mir is not a drug peddler and he has been detained under a well planned conspiracy.
