SRINAGAR: One more militant was killed in an encounter with the counter-insurgent forces on Thursday in Mitrigam area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district taking the death toll of militants to two, an official said.
He said that one more militant was killed in the gunfight in Mitrigam area of Pulwama.
He added identified the slain militants as Aijaz Hafiz and Shahid Ayub, of Al-Badr outfit.
He added further that 2 AK rifles were recovered from their possession.
“They had been involved in series of attacks on outside labourers in Pulwama in the month of March-April 2022,” the IGP Kashmir said.
Earlier, police had said that one militant was killed in the encounter.
