Two army personnel received injuries after militants fired upon an army patrol in Pulwama district of south Kashmir.

Official sources said that militants attacked an army patrol of 50 RR by firing upon the Patrol at Larav in Pulwama. In the incident, two army personnel received injuries.

Meanwhile, forces have cordoned off the area searches are going on. Reports also suggest that announcements are being made in the area asking people to come out of the houses.

Earlier, militants fired on CRPF camp in Kakapora Pulwama resulting in injuries to one CRPF personal identified as Chandrika Prasad. The injured trooper was rushed to nearby hospital for the treatment; however, he succumbed to injuries later. The deceased was there for the election duty as the area will go polling in 4th phase.
