SRINAGAR: In a heartbreaking incident, two young brothers lost their lives after drowning in a stream in the Bonjwah area of Kishtwar.
According to a local news agency, the victims have been identified as Nasir Hussain (16) and Yasir Hussain (13), sons of Mohd Shafi Zargar from Gundoo Tehsil, Chilli Pingil District Doda.
The boys were bathing in the stream when the tragic incident occurred. Upon receiving the alert, a police team immediately responded along with local residents to commence a search operation.
After a relentless effort lasting approximately four hours, the lifeless bodies of both brothers were recovered from the stream.
Following necessary legal procedures, the bodies were handed over to their bereaved family members.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident to ascertain the circumstances leading to the tragic deaths.(KS).
