Two Brothers Injured In Bear Attack

SRINAGAR: Two brothers were injured in a bear attack in Nowshera area of this border town on Sunday night.

Official sources said the siblings were injured in Javand, Nowshera in Boniyar tehsil when they were cutting the grass in a nearby forest and were attacked by a wild bear.

The official identified the injured persons as Bashir Ahmad Mir and Mushtaq Ahmad Mir sons of Abdul Ahad of Javand village of Nowshera.

Block Medical Officer (BMO) Boniyar, Dr Parviz Masoodi told news agency GNS that they provided them with the ambulance and were shifted to GMC Baramulla. “The condition of one of them is critical,” he said.
