SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday submitted a chargesheet against two accused individuals in connection with Case FIR No. 94/2023 at the NIA Srinagar Court.
The chargesheet for Case FIR No. 94/2023, filed under sections 7/25 A Act; 13, 18, 20, 23, 38, 39 & 40 UA(P)Act of Police Station Batamaloo, has been presented in the Court of NIA Srinagar.
“The accused have been identified as Arfat Yousuf Khan, son of Mohd Yousuf Khan, resident of Pethgam Rajpora (A1), and an associate of the deceased local terrorist Yawar Shafi Bhat, son of Mohd Shafi Bhat, resident of Kalampora Pulwama. This submission took place on 19-01-2024,” reads a statement issued by police.
The case is linked to the recovery of Arms and Ammunition by Police Batamaloo Srinagar from the accused. During the investigation, a connection was established between the two individuals based on CDR/IPDR, leading to the culmination of the case.
“One of the accused was fatally encountered by SF/Police at Shah Mohalla Yadipora Palhallan, falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Pattan Baramulla, on 30/09/2022. A case FIR No 280/2022 has been registered in Police Station Pattan regarding this encounter,” reads the statement.
The date for the hearing is scheduled on 19-02-2024.
