SRINAGAR: Two persons lost their lives as their truck plunged from a bridge in Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir, this Wednesday.
The incident occurred at Bagiyal Morh, near Barnoti, while the truck was en route from Pathankot in Punjab to Jammu.
The deceased have been identified as Balwant Singh and Ranjeet Singh, hailing from Taran Taran district in Punjab.
Rescue teams faced a challenging task in recovering the bodies from the severely damaged truck following the fall, a police official said.
The bodies have been transferred to the Government Medical College in Kathua for post-mortem examination, the official added.
