Two persons died while four others were injured when a police vehicle turned turtle and stuck the civilians under it in Kupwara.
DIG, North Kashmir Gh Hassan Bhat told Kashmir Life that official police vehicle (Rakshak) of SHO Kralpora turned turtle under which seven person got stuck.
“Two of the seven injured who had got stuck under the SHO’s vehicle have died while five others are injured,” Bhat said.
Police spokesperson also said that at least seven persons were stuck under a police vehicle in Warsun Kralpora area of Kupwara when it turned turtle.
Sources however said that a police party headed by the SHO had gone to Warsun area to control a group clash between the two political parties during which the vehicle carrying the party overturned and stuck the civilians under it.
