Two persons including a minor girl drowned at two separate places in Bandipora and Budgam whil ten other persons were injured in road accidents across valley, police said on Sunday.

A minor girl Asmat aged about 07 years old Daughter of  Farooq Ahmed Kawa resident of Lahrwapora, Bandipora  got drowned in Wular Lake at Laharwapora Bandipora . The body of the deceased was fished out and handed over to her relatives for last rites.

A 15 year old Mukhtar Ahmed Gorsi son of Rashid Gorsi resident of Nagbal drowned  in Nallah Hakdiyaji Nagbal, Pakherpora. The body of the deceased was fished out and handed over to his relatives for last rites.

The police statement added that ten other persons were injured in different road accidents in the valley.

A Tevera vehicle bearing registration number JK03C-8918 hit and injured a  girl  namely Ameena aged about 06 years daughter of Muhammad Maqbool Dar resident of  Takyabal at Takyabal, Bijbihara.  The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospita Bijbihara for treatment.

An Innova vehicle bearing registration number JK01P-0173 hit and injured a pedestrian  Taja Begum aged about 50 yrs wife of  Ghulam Mohammad Palla resident of  Rakhi Walcheck at Mirbazar NHW near petrol pump, Mirbazar. The injured was shifted to District  Hospital Anantnag for treatment.

A motorcycle bearing registration number JKO4B-8718 hit and injured a boy namely  Rasik Ahmad Lone age about 10 years son of  Farooq Ahmad resident of  Gatipora at Aadhama, Shopain. The injured was referred to Srinagar for further treatment.

A bus bearing registration number JK14A-9632 carrying ITBP personnel for Yatra duty skidded off the road near Darigund in the jurisdiction of police station Srigufwara, resulting in injuries to 04 personnel. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.

A TATA magic zip vehicle bearing registion number JK09A-3184 driven by Javid Ahmed Moochi resident of  Ahgam Zachaldar collided with a motorcycle bearing registration number JK01T-9517 driven by Jameel Ahmed Moochi resident of  Wadipora at Baghat pora, Handwara, resulting in injuries to 03 persons. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.

The statement further mentioned that two bakery shops  damaged in fire.

Fire broke out in the two bakery shops at Harnagh Islamabad resulting in damage to these bakery shops. Fire was brought under control by fire Tenders and Police.
