SRINAGAR: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief and former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday evening alleged that two of her party’s District Development Council (DDC) members were being taken by the police to Tangmarg under the pretext of ‘security concerns’.
Taking to social networking site Twitter, Mehbooba wrote: “PDPs two women DDC members are being taken by @JmuKmrPolice to Tangmarg under the pretext of ‘security concerns’ at this ungodly hour. Police at the highest level is executing orders from ‘higher-ups’. Appalled that even policemen have become wheeler-dealers @manojsinha_.”

Reacting on Mufti’s tweet, Baramulla police tweeted, “No DDC member have been taken rather they have been requested to shift Tangmarg Guest house by tomorrow. Other members have also been requested who are vulnerable from security point of view.”
