SRINAGAR: Two people, including a teenage boy, were injured in a blast near Banihal town in Ramban district on late Friday night. The injured were rushed to the hospital where their condition is stable.

The blast took place near the office of MG Construction Company in Banihal.

Reports said that the blast took place at the construction site of MG Company, which is constructing Banihal bypass, a portion of the four-lane Jammu-Srinagar highway project.

The injured have been identified as Gopal Sharma (35) of Udhampur and Mohammad Aquib (16) of Mangit-Khari.

Police have started an investigation to ascertain the cause of the blast.
