Suspected militants on Monday fired upon a policeman in south Kashmir’s Shopian area resulting in injuries to him and a civilian.
Local reports said that unknown gunmen fired upon a policeman in main town Shopian at 4:37 pm, leaving him and a civilian injured.
SPO identified as Bilal Ahmad was shot and injured near sumo stand Shopian while as the civilian has been identified as Rafiq Ahmad Lone son of Bashir Ah Lone, the resident of Vehil village of Shopian district.
Both the injured have been referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment, district hospital Shopian sources said.
