At least two labourers died while four others sustained minor injuries during a trial run of the Jammu cable car Gandola project on Sunday evening.
Reports said that two labourers died while four others were injured at Jammu cable car project site during a mock drill when a rescue trolley fell down near Mahamaya Mandir.
They said that the injured were shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) for specialized treatment.
An official said that the trolley in which around six labourers were on way to Mahamaya Temple from Peerkho area side suddenly fell down due to a technical snag in which two labourers died on the spot and four others were injured whose conditions are stated to be stable after shifting to GMC hospital for further treatment.
The trial run of the cable car project started today as the project is scheduled to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to the state on February 3.
