SRINAGAR: Two people were killed and several others were injured after a tempo traveller skidded off the road near Shoonsh on the Doda–Mahalla Road on Saturday, officials said.
Officials that the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to skid off the road.
Immediately after the accident, local residents and police personnel launched a rescue operation. The injured were evacuated and shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Doda for treatment.
Officials said the condition of some of the injured is critical. Further details are awaited.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation. (GNS)
