SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Bandipora, along with security forces, have arrested two militant associates from the Hajin area of Bandipora and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession.
“Bandipora Police, along with the Army (13 RR) and CRPF (45 Bn), arrested the suspects at a checkpoint established on the Gandbal-Hajin Road. They have been identified as Naseer Ahmad Parray, son of Bashir Ahmad Parray, a resident of Kathpura Hajin, and Mudasir Ahmad Parray, son of Mohd Ramzan Parray, a resident of Gandbal Hajin,” a police spokesperson in a statement said.
During the search, security forces recovered arms and ammunition, including two Chinese grenades, 18 live rounds of AK-47, one AK-47 magazine, one pistol, eight pistol rounds, one pistol magazine, and two mobile phones.
In connection with the incident, an FIR (No. 20/2025) under relevant sections of the law has been registered at PS Hajin, and an investigation has been initiated.
