SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday claimed to have arrested two militant associates in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
A police spokesman in a statement said that police along 50 RR and 181 Bn CRPF have arrested two associates of proscribed outfit LeT in Budgam.
The spokesman in a statement said that incriminating materials of Lashkar-e-Toiba and following arms/ammunition including AK magazines 02 number and AK rounds 54 were also recovered from their possession
The arrested associates have been identified as Shahnawaz Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Aziz Bhat a resident of Kralpora and Sameer Ahmad Najar son of Gulam Ahmad a resident of Gund chekpora Kanipora, he said.
“Both arrested associates have been found involved in providing logistics and support to the active militants of LeT as well as transportation of arms and ammunition in Chadoora area of Budgam,” he added.
“Case vide FIR No.150/2022 under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Chadoora investigation has been initiated,” said police spokesman in a statement.
