Two militants have died in the Tangmarg encounter, reports said.
Gun battle started in Khanchipora area of Tangmarg in the wee hours of Friday.
The cross firing continued up to 11:30 AM when army finally blasted the house where the militants were believed to be taking refuge.
SSP Baramulla said that the militants engaged in battle belonged to Hizbul Mujahideen.
Army bomb shelled the house razing it to ground.
“We are not allowed to go to move towards the site where the dead bodies are lying,” a journalist said.
