SRINAGAR: Two militants were killed in an encounter with counter-insurgent forces at Shokbaba forest Sumblar area in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Saturday.
An official said that two militants were killed so far in the ongoing encounter at Shokbaba forest Sumblar area of Bandipora.
The identity and the affiliations of the slain militants could not be ascertained immediately.
Earlier, a police spokesman said a gunfight broke out between militants and forces at Shokbaba forest Sumblar area of Bandipora.
