Srinagar: Suspected militants on Friday attacked a police party in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Initial reports suggest that suspected militants have attacked a police party near Food Corporation of India in Baramulla, resulting in serious injuries to one cop. Meanwhile, Forces have cordoned off the area and manhunt has been launched to nab the attackers.

Delayed reports suggest that two militants have been killed in a brief shootout, near the railway station in Baramulla. Reports said that two militants traveling in a car fired upon the police party near the railway station in Kralhar area of the district, in the brief exchange of fire both the militants were killed.

Police have also recovered an AK 47 rifle, two Chinese pistols and other arms ammunition from the militants.
