SRINAGAR: Two militants were killed in an encounter with counter-insurgent forces at Shalgul forest area of Srigufwara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday.
An official said that two militants were killed so far in the ongoing encounter at Shalgul forest area of Srigufwara.
The identity and the affiliations of the slain militants could not be ascertained immediately.

Earlier, a police spokesman said a gunfight broke out between militants and forces at Shalgul forest area of Srigufwara in Anantnag.
