SRINAGAR: Two deaths were reported in Surankote area of Poonch district, one involving a 22-year-old youth who died by suicide, and another involving a 55-year-old man whose body was found in a water drum.
Officials said that 22-year-old Mohd Irfan, son of Nazir Ahmad, was found hanging at his home in Marhote More on Friday night. His body was shifted to Sub-District Hospital Surankote for medico-legal formalities.
In a separate incident, the body of 55-year-old Mohammad Shabir was recovered from a water drum at his house near Jarnawali Gali.
Police have registered cases in both incidents and initiated investigations. (GNS)
