ANANTNAG: District administration Anantnag Wednesday sealed two USG centres in the Seer Hamdan area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

As per an official, the action was taken on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Anantnag after a video had gone viral on social media.

He said that a day before a patient had visited one of the two centres for USG where doctors reported that the patient has an issue with his appendix, however, on operating nothing was found.

The official said that soon after the incident attendants protested and their protesting video in which they were demanding strict action against the centre went viral.

He said that on Wednesday a team from the CMO office along with BMO concerned raided two USG centres and sealed them.

BMO Mattan Dr Mohammad Ashraf told KNO that two centres were sealed as the qualifications of the doctors present at centres wasn’t matching the required qualifications as per PCPNDT act.
