Two women were rescued by the personnel of navy after a boat capsized in Wular Lake near Zurimanz village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Wednesday morning.
SSP Bandipora Rahul Malik told Kashmir Life that two women drowned in the Wular Lake after their boat capsized near the navy camp. “They were rescued by navy macros with the help of locals and Police, ” he said.
The duo have been identified as Rafiqa Begum and her daughter Laali.
Local sources said that the duo were on way to Sopore when their boat capsized.
