SRINAGAR: A two-year-old girl died after drowning in an irrigation canal in Ankhulu Sumbal village of North Kashmir’s Bandipora District on Thursday.
Quoting an official, KS reported that a girl identified as Janat Zehra daughter of Javid Ahmed dar of Odina Sumbal drowned in an irrigation canal.
He said that locals of the area took the girl to CHC Sumbal where doctors declared her brought dead.
After legal medical formalities the body was handed over to the family for last rites.
