Two civilians were injured during clashes with government forces in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday.

Reports said that massive clashes broke out after a local youth injured in forces’ action yesterday succumbed at SKIMS today.

Two civilians, identified as Muhammad Amir Lone (22), son of Abdul Hamid Lone of Chatragul and Abdul Rashid Khan of Kangan, were injured in the clashes.

SDPO Kangan told Kashmir Life over the phone that five policemen and four civilians were injured during clashes.

The injured were rushed to trauma hospital Kangan where from Khan and Lone were referred to Bone and Joints Hospital Barzulla and SKIMS Soura respectively.

Doctors treating Amir said, “A shell has injured his head. He has the (EDH)extradural haematoma.He is presently undergoing a surgery.”

Clashes were going on in Kangan when this report was filled.
