Muslim Deeni Mahaz on Tuesday said that the tyranny meted by “notorious” Ikhwani Kukka Parray and incumbent CM Mehbooba Mufti to the people of Kashmir has no match.

In a statement issued here, a spokesperson of the party said that at the orders of CM Mehbooba Mufti the ailing Dukhtaran-e-Millat chairperson and senior pro-freedom leader Syeda Asiya Andrabi is not being produced before the court.

He said that it is for the first time since 1990 an under trail in a case in Srinagar is being held in a Jammu jail. “This has led to the worst practice of not producing them under trail for court hearings.”

The spokesperson said that Andrab’s PSA has been revoked and orders for her release passed by the court but instead of being set free she has been incarcerated in Jammu Jail. “Continuous detention in Jammu Jail has taken a serious toll on her health and recently she had to be treated for swine flu.”

He said that Andrabi was not produced in Srinagar court consecutively on September 14, 21 and October 4.

“Police has clearly said that they have directions from Chief Ministers office not to produce her in court. The tyranny meted out by Kuka parray and Mehbooba Mufti to Kashmiri Muslims is unmatched in history,” the spokesperson said in the statement.
