As per police officials, a militant captured on Wednesday in Udhampur is a Pakistani.
“Identified as Qasim Khan, the young militant is from the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) group and hails from Gujranwala in Pakistan,” the officials said.
Khan was part of a militant group that attacked the Border Security Force convoy killing two troopers and injuring 11 on the Jammu-Srinagar highway in Udhampur Wednesday morning.
“He (Khan) was captured while escaping with three hostages,” the official saids.
