Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Monday visited one of the victims of communal Udhampur attack at Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi.
According to the Media Advisor of Hurriyat (m) chairperson, Advocate Shahid-ul-Islam, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq accompanied by Bilal Gani Lone visited Safdarjung hospital New Delhi to inquire about the health condition of one the Truck driver, injured after subjected assault when communal elements and right wing fanatics lobbed a petrol bomb on the truck while driving at Udhampur on October 9, 2015.
Another victim, Zahid Rasool Bhat breathed his last on Sunday in the same hospital.
Condemning the incident Mirwaiz said, “the so-called government of Jammu Kashmir has miserably failed to provide protection to the hardworking Kashmiri youth.”
“The incident is the result of failure of the government to protect Kashmiris from mischievous and communal elements, adding, the incident is sheer condemnable,” he said.
