SRINAGAR: A man was attacked by unknown individuals with sharp-edged weapons at Slathia Chowk in Udhampur on Wednesday, prompting swift police action.
Officials said that the victim, identified as Sourav Rathore, son of Maan Singh, a resident of Omala, Udhampur, was assaulted by the attackers.
Udhampur Police registered FIR No. 12/2025 under Sections 109/BNS (attempt to murder) and 4/25 of the Arms Act. The police immediately arrested one accused, identified as Mohd Arif, son of Abdul Qayoom, a resident of Chakkar.
“The search for the remaining accused is going on, and officials assured that they will be apprehended soon,” police said.
Meanwhile, the police have taken cognisance of the incident. (JKNS).
