SRINAGAR: A peaceful voter turnout of over 22.60 percent was recorded in the Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency (PC).

According to the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, JK, the voter turnout percentages across various areas were as follows: Bani- 25.18%, Banihal-15.66 percent, Basohli-19.21 percent, Bhaderwah-26.34 percent, Bilawar-28.51 percent, Chenani-16.31 percent, Doda-28.91 percent, Doda West-25.42 percent, Hiranagar-26.45 percent, Inderwal-28.56 percent, Jasrota-26.62 percent, Kathua (SC)-22.15 percent, Kishtwar-31.27 percent, Padder-nagseni-25.21 percent, Ramban-23.03 percent, Ramnagar (sc)-15.31  percent, Udhampur East-18.96  percent, Udhampur West-14.05 percent.

Voting for the high-stake constituency started at 7 am on Friday amid heavy rain in several parts of Udhampur and Kathua districts.
