United Jihad Council (UJC) chief Syed Sallad-ud-Din Saturday appreciated the speech delivered by Pakistan Prime Minister Mian Nawaz Sharif at United Nations General Assembly saying that Sharif’s speech has reflected the ground reality which is a set-back for the elements trying to place the Kashmiri issue at back burner.
In a statement, issued to a local news agency, KNS, the UJC Chief said issues of drone attacks, Kashmir and Palestine raised by Sharif at the UN Assembly should be considered thoroughly by the concerned authorities. “World peace is linked to Kashmir and Palestine issues and if both matters are resolved according to the aspirations of their people, peace will prevail,” Sallad-ud-Din has added.
He further observed that Kashmiri leadership, being the primary stakeholder of the dispute should be taken on board during negotiations for the resolution of Kashmir issue. The UJC statement reads that its Chief has appealed government of Pakistan to shun its decision of declaring India its ‘Most Favoured Nation’. “India is responsible for the genocide of the people of Kashmir as its troops are committing the worst human rights violations in the valley.”
