A Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) candidate was injured on Monday when a mob of protestors pelted him with stones in Bandipora district of north Kashmir.

The injured candidate identified as Adil Ahmad Buhru, received minor injuries when a group of protesters pelted him with stones, resulting in his injuries. However, Buhru was soon taken to district Hospital Bandipora for the treatment where he is said to be stable now.

Buhru is contesting the election from ward-15 in the district, and reportedly was on his way to the booth when he came under the stone pelting.
