ULB polls: Clashes in Bandipora, woman injured

A woman sustained pellet injuries on Monday during clashes in Lankreshipora area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district amid civic polls in the area.

Reports said that clashes between the government forces and protestors erupted in Lankreshipora amid the polls. Forces in retaliation used the pellets to disperse the protestors, resulting in injuries to a woman identified as Shabeena, wife of Javid Ahmad Dar.

Shabeena was soon rushed to Bandipora’s district hospital for the treatment, where she is said to be stable now. The reports of clashes are also coming from the Plan area of the district, however, there were no immediate reports of any loss.
